Lori's FAQ

A Yes!!!!!  All work is COD.   No Cash No Splash!

Q Can I take my boat and use it without paying?

A No!  Your boat stays here until the bill is paid in full.

Q If I haven't paid my bill do I have to pay finance charges?

A Yes!!!!!  If you are fortunate enough to catch us on good day and not have paid at time of completion you have 10 days,   to pay after that anything left unpaid is subject to a 10% penalty plus a 2% monthly finance charge.

Q I haven't paid my last bill but I need more work done will you do it?

A Yes, after you pay your original bill.

Q Why are you calling me and asking me for money?

A If you paid promptly I would not be calling you.

Q Can I talk to Jason about my bill?

A You may talk to him once but other than that I'm the account manager and all payments and any arrangements will be done through me.

Q I hit rocks, with my boat ,will my insurance cover it?

A Unless you send your premium check to us, we do not know.

Q If my insurance company won't cover all the repairs ,what do I do?

A You have three choices:

  1. Come up with the rest of the cash yourself.

  2. Do only necessary repairs (either yourself or with us) but do not complain about the outcome.

  3. Sell your boat.

Q Can I arrange my spring commissioning or winterizing over the phone?

A:   Never!  All forms must be filled out and signed so that there is no discrepancies later.  If you stop by with your form but forget your glasses, we will gladly help, but do not yell at me later for any mistakes.

Q It's Saturday, Memorial Day weekend and I didn't return my spring commission form ,can you drop everything and get my boat ready?

A No! (snooze you lose)  All work is done on a first come first serve basis.  We take care of the customers who took the time to fill out and return their forms.

Q I store my boat at Bolton Landing Marina for the winter only.  It's now May 15th I haven't sent my form back and I have to be out or I will charged $50 a day storage can you help.

A No!  It is not my responsibility to keep track of everyone that has to be out by the 15th.  You should have:

A)  Sent your form back ASAP with a note stating that you're winter storage only.

B)  Keep in mind that we (Performance Marine) do not guarantee any launch date.  The 15th is Bolton Landing Marina's opening day not ours.

Q What's Jason doing?

A Jason is always either in a boat or working on a motor.  Please leave a message.

Q Does Jason ever return calls?

A Yes, Jason does return calls, he can not drop what he is doing or else nobody's boat would get done.

Q Is Jason working on my boat yet, can I talk to him?

A Choose one, he can either talk to you or work on your boat.

Q Did my parts come in?

A Your parts will be here when it is your turn in the schedule.

Q Do you know if any other marinas have dock space?

A No, pick up the phone book and call them directly to find out information about their dock space, prices, conditions and their procedures.

Q Can you take a look at this, it will only take a minute?

A If it only takes a minute you would have done by now.

Q: What's the weather like up there? Should I come up? What's it going to be like this weekend?

A: Call Bob Kovacich at Channel 13.

And finally - "No it will not help if you put the phone by the motor so I hear how it runs, you still need to bring it in and schedule an appointment!"
